Optiscan in the news - Optiscan inks deal with Monash Uni to progress GI scope

Optiscan has been featured in Stockhead and The Australian regarding its partnership with Monash University to develop a flexible gastrointestinal (GI) endomicroscope. The article which has been sydnicated across News Corp's 11 masthead publications, highlights how this innovative project aims to integrate with standard commercially available endoscopes to enhance the detection and analysis of cancerous tumors, particularly bowel cancer.

The collaboration will utilize artificial intelligence to automate the detection and analysis of any cancers identified. As part of a Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) grant, the project has already secured $1 million of the total $3 million committed by the Australian Department of Industry, Science, and Resources.

CEO Dr. Camile Farah stated, “This agreement represents a significant step towards better diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. The potential of Optiscan’s imaging system is immense, as it has the capacity to revolutionize GI diagnostics.”
